The Kunstverein You Might Also Like e.V. was founded in 2021 in Berlin. Its concept is based on the promotion and presentation of both emerging and established artists in the disciplines of visual and performing arts. In this ambition, the diversity of artistic approaches and working methods is the center of attention.

In its conceptual orientation, You Might Also Like e.V. places particular emphasis on the promotion of interdisciplinarity. Through this, a lively exchange between artists from different fields of art is initiated and promoted. This enables a rich diversity of perspectives and helps to expand the boundaries of traditional art forms. At the same time, the principles of interculturality and diversity are consolidated in the work of the association, which includes artists who are active on an international, national, and regional level. The primary objective of the Kunstverein is to use art as a medium to discuss current social issues, thus ensuring a critical counter-voice to a dependent-neoliberal art business.

At the beginning of 2023, You Might Also Like e.V. joined forces with the curatorial collective apath. curatorial projects from Cologne. The joint curatorial projects, which are realized in the premises of the Moltkerei Werkstatt in Cologne, form another milestone on the Kunstverein`s path to enrich and shape the German art scene in a relevant and exciting way.

The current premises of You Might Also Like e.V. are fluid.

The SPREEHALLE Berlin and the Moltkerei Werkstatt in Cologne have both been won as partners.

The SPREEHALLE Berlin, a former AEG transformer factory, is located in the middle of the creative quarter on the banks of the Spree in Berlin in the immediate vicinity of the Reinbeckhalle. Successful artists such as Alicja Kwade, Olafur Eliasson, and Jorinde Voigt have their studios here.

The Moltkerei Werkstatt in Cologne was founded in 1981 as an exhibition and performance space and non-profit institution for non-traditional artists. In order to meet the demand for high artistic standards on the one hand and to support young artists on the other, the program offers a mixture of internationally renowned and young, yet unknown artists.
